Images of last night flash before my eyes. Jolene in my bed. Blindfolded. The way she reacted to my every touch.

I never thought she would go through with it. As soon as I gave her the command to strip, I thought she was going to bolt from the room and never look at me again.

But man, was I wrong.

She didn’t only strip like I told her to, she did it with her head held high. With a look on her face that challenged me and showed me that she wasn’t afraid.

No woman has ever challenged me that way. Not even in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that Jolene would be that woman, but she managed to turn my whole world upside down with that look.

I told myself that one night with her would be enough to get her out of my system, but now, once again, I know I want more. Every fiber in my body longs for her. I didn’t hold back with her, and she reacted so beautifully to every touch. The more I challenged her, the more she gave it right back to me. I know I’ll regret it if I let her go, so I’m not going to.

Turning over on my bed, I reach for her, but her side of the bed is empty. My eyes open, and I’m fully awake in an instant.

The spot where she fell asleep last night is definitely empty. She didn’t just roll further away from me. She’s gone.

The black belt of my robe is still hanging from the headboard, the blindfold laying on the bedside table. But other than that, there is no proof Jolene was ever here.

She left, just like that. Our sex marathon must have knocked me out good, because I didn’t even notice her leaving. I’m normally a light sleeper, so I should have woken up.

Fuck! What have we done? I have this uncontrollable desire to march up to her room, lay her over my knee, and spank her pretty ass for leaving without telling me.

I jump out of the bed, looking for my pants that must still be on the floor somewhere. When I find them, I put them on immediately. I don’t even bother putting on boxers.

From my suitcase, I take a new T-shirt and pull it over my head. Barefoot, I leave my suite and go to Jolene’s room, where I knock on her door once and wait for her to open it.

When she does and I see her through the small crack of the opening, I push my arm through it to prevent her from closing the door in face. Before she’s even realizes what’s happening, I push my way inside, close the door behind me, and push her back against it.

“John,” she sighs, green eyes wide. “What are you doing?”

I’m not planning on explaining what I’m about to do to her. So, I silence her by slanting my lips over hers and kissing her. Not just a kiss. I devour her mouth.
